‘Westmorland’ is the second of two Collections that Marie Wallin designed and photographed in November 2021. The patterned designs for Women and Men, are largely inspired by European ornamental design and Far East textile and carpet design, along with mixtures of more traditional motifs. The plain textured stitch designs are inspired by traditional twisted stitches and cables. ‘Westmorland’ has patterns for 7 garments and 3 accessories all in the new extended size range and features 6 new colours in the British Breeds range, that were launched in the previous year.
Like the ‘Cumbria’ collection, ‘Westmorland’ is named after the historic county of North West England from the 12th century until 1974 when it became a part of Cumbria. The beautiful photography was taken by Moy Williams in and around the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks!
Included in the price of the printed book is a downloadable PDF version, so that you can enlarge the charts without having to spoil the printed book. The download link is available on our website once your order has been shipped.
